Thank you The Red Cross and everyone that has donated to The Red Cross. Today as we were sifting through our ashes with something that resemble our salad tongs and gravy spoon, The Red Cross showed up in our driveway with gloves, shovels, a rake, plastic bags, masks, water, granola bars, and chap stick. It made our day and as she politely asked if we lived here my mother choked up and replied, "we used to live here." God bless us all. I hope we all find somewhere soon that we can call home again.

Thank you to the courageous and talented fire fighters, police officers, and all emergency workers who worked to save our homes and protect us. Thank you to all the volunteers who lent their support to emergency services workers. Thank you to the kind people of our community who are providing housing, food, healthcare, animal care, and innumerable other volunteer services to our neighbors who lost their homes. Thank you to my friends who welcomed me into their home for two days while I needed to be out of mine.

I just want to say how extremely grateful we are to all the fire men and women who worked so valiantly to save our homes! You guys are an inspiration - amazing how you approach the dangers of a fire in the name of public service - you are indeed heros!!!
