We've lowered the rate on our House Sublet (Dec 13 to Jan 13): to $2200 for fire survivors. It's a 2500 sq. ft. 3BR/2BA, with beds for at least 10 people, a huge garden, separate office, garden studio, gourmet kitchen, wireless internet and a Wii (great place for kids, lots of toys, bikes, trampoline, and more). It's listed on the vacation sites for more, but we'd prefer to rent it to local fire victims.

Santa Barbara Sublet available, December 13 to January 13.

We're offering our 3 bedroom, 2 bath house, on 1/3 acre lot, in the Samarkand neighborhood, with a private office and a separate studio in the beautiful garden. The persimmon trees are heavy with fruit. My family (self, husband, two sons) would be happy to share our home with fire survivors. We'll be out of town for a month, over the holidays. We'd love to cover the mortgage and utility costs with the sublet ($3800). Pets are welcome. We'll leave two computers, and we have wireless internet. The place is very kid-friendly, with toys and a great trampoline in the garden. Email: nancy@mercurypress.com .
