Danie-
I read your comment on Meridiths page about FEMA, but you are eligible..I applied online and two days later I had someone up at our house taking pictures and finished filling paperwork. If I can get help, you should be able to also. Thats all there is to it.
hey Danie-
Thanks and I hope you are doing well..I understand the work thing.I had to go back to work a few days after the fire and listen to everyone complain about the ash and smoke and I couldn't stop thinking well all that ash was my families life and all our belongings...its been tough, im with you on that for sure..you should apply for FEMA, they can help financially and anything and everything helps when we all have so little or nothing at all left. You can even apply online, they just need some proof that you lived there and then they meet you up at whats left of your house to take pictures and all that.good luck!
hey danie, i had actually done a posting on craigslist asking if anyone wanted to find a 2 bedroom with me. maybe we can meet for coffee tomorrow & talk about things. i totally understand that you are considering going back east. my family is there & i have considered the same, just until i figure out what to do. let me know if coffee sounds good, you can call me at: 805.729.1402 hope you are well, despite everything. best~ meredith
Hi Danie,
I had a friend whose daughter was named Danie. I always loved that name. Yes, I lost EVERYTHING too. $15,000 of photo related equipment that wasn't insured. I am working with SBA & FEMA to try to recover some of my losses. So have you found a new place? I am having a terrible time with housing? Hope you are doing well, despite.... Best regards. Meredith
