TEA FIRE Connect

Neighbors Helping Neighbors in Times of Need

My family lives in the fire affected area and I was just surveying some of the residences that were burned down. While my family's property was spared, there are a lot of people who are bummin. It just cuts to the bone to talk to some of the folks as they dig through the ashes of what was once their homestead. It's like their whole livelihood has been sucked from their souls. The pain and shock five days after the fire started is still so very evident in their faces. I mean, I have never seen or witnessed anything so devastating up close like this.

Up from the ashes so many must come. Let's keep these folks in our prayers and support them in any way we can. We'll all be the better for it.

Well said Ethan - we concur completely. As time passes, it will easy for many to get back to their normal routines. For some of us, however, we are caught up in a haze. I hope that our community will not forget about us... Gary Wilkinson
